About Brenda
I was raised on a dairy farm in Northern Minnesota where fresh eggs, milk and butter were a staple! My parents love to have parties and celebrations, as we came from a large family. We all loved to bake and provide great "country-sized" meals!
I love to draw/paint and be generally creative with artistic projects. In high school, I was involved in 4-H, which began my hobby and interest in cake decorating. It was either show a cow at the county fair, or create flowers from sugar on a butter cream frosted cake…I went with the cake!
After college with a degree in Occupational Therapy, I moved to Idaho in 1977, and my hobby became a new passion and my own personal “therapy!” I love to serve others, bake, and create, and Brenda’s Creative Cakery was born!
It is a joy to be involved in the life span of many friends, of whom I’ve followed from birth, graduation, weddings-then births again! I can’t thank my wonderful husband and friend, Scott, enough for his endless support, dish washing and cake carrying! It is true pleasure and gift to be involved in so many people’s delectable day of love and sweet memories!
